The story of GOPHER HILL OUTFITTERS

What started out as a little “hobby” while my husband was off at the hunting camp has grown into something so much more—our family business, our dream, and his future retirement plan (with a brand-new boss… ME, of course 😄).  The son suggested I do something for men for the craft events I was participating in (I was selling tumblers).  Never did I dream that Hats would actually sale :)

Gopher Hill Outfitters is more than just hats and apparel—it’s a family story. Behind the scenes, it’s been a true team effort, with input (and plenty of opinions) from my husband, our son, my brother, and even a few outspoken nephews! Together, we’ve crafted a space that brings quality, affordable hats and gear to all the good ole country boys and hardworking local businesses out there.

And speaking of roots...

If you’re not familiar with the name, Gopher Hill is home. It’s a little patch of heaven in Rabun, Alabama—just north of Bay Minette. It’s where I was raised, where my values were shaped, and where my family still gathers for holidays, hugs, and hearty laughs. No matter how far I’ve roamed, Gopher Hill is the place I always return to. As Tony Floyd used to say, “If you own a piece of Gopher Hill, you own a gold mine.”

As a wife, mama, and proud Mimi to five amazing grandbabies, this venture means the world to me. I’ve been blessed with a beautiful life and a big-hearted tribe—and I’m thrilled to bring a little piece of that to you through our hats.
